Insights to the books by Ralph E. Bowman

Unsolved Investigations III

[This book may only be purchased as a Kindle book or paperback through Amazon.]

For the characters in Unsolved Investigations, Ralph reused characters from his Johnny Ringo - Bounty Hunter series. For Unsolved Investigations II, he decided to reuse the names of characters he had created for his five-book Slade - Gun For Hire series.

Ralph wanted each case to show that anyone who paid close enough attention to details and shared information, could solve a case. However, he also wanted notice given as to how overworked law enforcement agencies are, which might be the reason some cases fall through the cracks.

Matt Ringo is now married to Ann McKenna. Ann is the secretary and accountant for Unsolved Investigations, Inc. She also provides some useful insight for some cases.

Each case is a short story. However, the same main characters are in each story.

Case #9. A man who is accused of robbing a savings and load is saved by a sting operation they pull.

Case #10. Another professor at MU hires them to solve the murder of his sister many years earlier. In their investigation it was found that everything hinged on two brothers, who looked a lot alike.

Case #11. This case is brought to them by a fourth-year medical student. The previous semester he had been researching "orphan diseases" and found the disappearance of four ten-year-old boys with the same orphan disease eleven years earlier to be just too much of a coincidence. They discover that an unscrupulous doctor and rich businessman were behind the kidnappings.

Case #12. In this case a burglar robs five jewelry stores. Neither local or state police nor the FBI are able to figure out how the burglar got in and out of the jewelry store. However, the team of investigators notices something that the other investigators had missed.

Case #13. This case begins with a couple murdered in their bed one night.. The police are unable to figure out whether the motive for the murders was to actually kill the victims or to steal expensive cameras and computers. Unsolved Investigations is able to establish the motive and identify the man responsible.
